Experience

I worked for 10 years in South Africa where I ran a private practice seeing children, adolescents, adults and couples. I have been in Australia since 2020.

Conducted assessments for Impilo Child Protection and Adoption Services

I worked for three years in the Johannesburg Metro Community Clinics and conducted therapy in the local townships including Soweto, Alexander, Hillbrow and Discoverer’s Clinics. 

I supervised interns and attended, and presented at, academic ward rounds, case presentations and journal clubs.

Internship at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital 

Internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital

I have worked as an Alcohol and Other Drug Worker (AODW) at The Ted Noffs Foundation in Sydney, Australia.

I have conducted research a number of times. My focus has been gender issues often related to body image, feminism and masculinity. 

I have worked in many different settings and with a variety of different cultural, religious and socio-economic groups.

I initiated and ran projects such as a pre-natal support group for pregnant women.

I ran parent training groups, did intellectual assessments and conducted family therapy.

I have also worked with a wide variety of difficulties and people such as individuals, children, teenagers and families.

I am registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
