About Me

I trained in South Africa, completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand, followed by further training in Play Therapy and Parent-Infant Psychotherapy.

I have been working as a psychologist for over fifteen years across a range of public and private settings. Since moving to Australia in 2020, I have worked in Sydney and now Melbourne.

My clinical experience includes:

-Three years in the Johannesburg Metro Community Clinics,   conducting therapy in Soweto, Alexandra, Hillbrow, and Discoverer’s     Clinics
-Internships at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and Chris       Hani Baragwanath Hospital
-Alcohol and other drug work at The Ted Noffs Foundation in Sydney -Clinical work with Open Arms, supporting veterans and their families -Private practice in South Africa and Australia

I have supervised interns and presented at academic ward rounds, case presentations, and journal clubs.

I have a particular interest in adoption-related work. I conducted assessments for Impilo Child Protection and Adoption Services, and I work with adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents navigating the range of difficulties that adoption can give rise to across the lifespan.

My research has focused on gender, body image, and identity. 

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across many different cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds.

I am registered with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
